Visitors' Terrace

Enjoy an incredible view of the airfield from the top of Terminal 2

What would a visit to Frankfurt Airport be without also taking the time to enjoy the view from our popular Visitors’ Terrace? Here you can catch a whiff of faraway places, send your thoughts winging away with the departing aircraft, or simply take advantage of the comfortable seating to relax and catch your breath.

Access to the Visitors’ Terrace is on level 4 (Food Plaza) of Terminal 2 next to McDonald’s. Follow the signs to the Shopping Plaza and then ride the escalator up to the top – you can’t miss it!

The best way to arrive is by public transportation

During the summer months, the airport is very busy. Even the parking garages can get crowded. Leisure guests are best advised to use public transport to get to the airport. The airport is ideally connected to Frankfurt city center and the surrounding area by bus and train. The network extends far beyond the borders of the region.

Plan a Bike Trip to the Airport

Or you can make the route your destination from the outset: the airport is integrated into the region's network of bike paths. The vantage points on the runways provide a unique view of flight and apron operations.
