Questions and Answers concerning the procedure for online bookings.

How do I book a parking space at Frankfurt Airport online?
You can book a parking space at Frankfurt Airport in four easy steps:
·         Step 1: Choose a time period.
·         Step 2: Select an option.
·         Step 3: Enter your personal data.
·         Step 4: Pay and submit.
You will receive confirmation of your booking within 24 hours. Make sure to regularly check your email, including the spam folder in case your provider filters out the confirmation. We also advise you to print out the displayed booking confirmation after it arrives.

Terminal Parking: Early Bird Online Rate
·         You can park for between seven and 29 days.
·         You can book a space as early as nine months before flying or as late as one calendar day beforehand.
·         You pay in advance by Mastercard, VISA, American Express or PayPal.

Terminal Parking: Weekend Rate
·         You can park for between two and four days.
·         The days must fall between Friday and Monday.
·         You can book a space as early as nine months before flying or as late as one calendar day beforehand.
·         You pay in advance by Mastercard, VISA, American Express or PayPal.

Business Parking Online
·         You can park for between one and 29 days.
·         You can book a space as early as nine months before flying or as late as one calendar day beforehand.
·         You pay in advance by Mastercard, VISA, American Express or PayPal.

Holiday Parking Online
·         You can park for between one day and 60 days.
·         You can book a space as early as three months before flying or as late as one calendar day beforehand.
·         You pay in advance by Mastercard, VISA, American Express or PayPal.

Is it safe to make an online booking with Fraport?
When you make an online booking, we make sure that your data are safe, from the first entry all the way to payment. All of our customer transactions are encrypted using GlobalSing-certified SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology. SSL is integrated in most popular web browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, and gives you maximum protection from prying eyes.

We naturally handle, process and use your personal data in full compliance with the German Data Privacy Law (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz). For details, please see our Privacy Policy.

Can I park on the Holiday Parking without reserving a space beforehand?
As of 1 June 2018 entrance with online booking only.

I haven’t received a confirmation email. What should I do?
Please send us an email with your booking number and/or your full name to parken.online@fraport.de.

I made a mistake when entering the address for the invoice. Can I still change it?
We regret that we are unable to accommodate changes to the billing address, since we have designed our booking and invoicing processes to minimize costs so we can offer our customers the best possible rates.

What are my payment options when booking online?
You can pay by credit card (Mastercard, VISA or American Express) or Paypal.

What does it cost to use a parking space at Frankfurt Airport?
We offer you a variety of parking options with the best possible value for money. The rate can vary seasonally and day-to-day depending on current demand and how far in advance you book.

It’s easy to you to find out the prices for a given time period by performing the first step of the booking process. You can do this without any further obligation if you don’t complete the booking. Please keep in mind that the indicated price only applies to the selected duration and date. If you change the time period or make a booking later, the price may change.

What time periods can I book a parking space for?
Terminal Parking: Early Bird Online Rate

To take advantage of this rate, you can book a parking space for between seven and 29 days. It is not possible to make a booking for a shorter or longer period than this. In order to drive out after less than the seven-day minimum time, you must pay the standard price since the QR code then loses its validity. If you extend your holiday beyond the 29-day limit, you only have to pay the additional time at the standard rate at one of our machines. To do so, hold the QR code against the scanner and pay the displayed amount. The QR code is then validated so you can drive out.

Terminal Parking: Weekend Rate
You can book a parking space for two to four days within the period from Friday to Monday. It is not possible to make a booking for a shorter or longer period of time. If you want to drive out after less than the required two-day minimum, the QR loses its validity and you must pay the normal price.

Terminal Parking: Online Business Parking
You can book a parking space for at least one day and no more than 29 days. It is not possible to make a booking for a shorter or longer period than this. If you extend your holiday beyond the 29-day limit, you only have to pay the additional time at the standard rate at one of our machines. To do so, hold the QR code against the scanner and pay the displayed amount. The QR code is then validated so you can drive out.

Holiday Parking
You can book a parking space for at least one day and no more than 60 days. It is not possible to make a booking for a shorter or longer period than this. When exceeding the parking period an additional payment (10.00 € per day thereafter) is required at the pay station. To do so, hold the QR code against the scanner and pay the displayed amount. The QR code is then validated so you can drive out.

Can I use my credit card to pay for multiple bookings?
Yes, our booking system lets you use your credit card to pay for more than one online reservation.

What do I do if I leave my car parked for longer than the time I have paid for?
So you’ve spontaneously decided to extend your vacation? It isn’t a problem. You can easily and conveniently pay for the extra time at one of our machines after returning from your trip. The rent for the period of extension is determined by the price lists published in the respective parking area in consideration of the total parking time, excluded Holiday Parking (10.00 € per day thereafter).

What do I do if my travel dates change?
If your travel dates change, please contact us as soon as possible. For information on the deadlines for changing parking bookings, please consult our General Terms and Conditions here.

Can I cancel or modify my booking?
You can cancel a booking anytime until the start of the booked time period. Please send us your cancellation request in writing, while including your booking number, by email to parken.online@fraport.de.

What are voucher codes?
Voucher codes are published in various print and online media in connection with advertising promotions. If you subscribe to our newsletter while making a booking, we will be glad to inform you about our voucher code promotions.

Which kinds of vehicles can I leave in the parking facilities at Frankfurt Airport?
Terminal Parking (Early Bird Online and Weekend Rates), Online Business Parking

You may only drive into the parking facilities with a car that has a loaded weight of no more than 2.5 tonnes and a height of up to 2.1 meters. It is not possible to make online bookings for larger vehicles, trailers, or gas-fueled (except natural gas).

Holiday Parking
You may only drive onto the car park with a car, recreational vehicle or mobile home with a loaded weight of up to 2.5 tonnes and a maximum length of seven meters.

Are there special parking spaces for persons with disabilities or reduced mobility?
We naturally also have appropriate parking spaces for persons belonging to these groups. They are located as follows:

Terminal Parking: Early Bird Online and Weekend Rates
·         Terminal 1: entrance P4, parking bay 225
·         Terminal 2: entrance P8, parking bay U417
Use the QR code to drive in and out. Please place your legitimation card for special parking (“Parkerleichterung”) or your ID card for severely disabled persons (“G” or “aG”) in your vehicle’s window or on the dashboard where it is visible. For more information, please visit the section on Accessible Parking on our website.

Holiday Parking
Right near the entrance and exit. Please note that not all of our shuttle buses are equipped to help persons with disabilities get on and off.

Where can I park at the airport?
Terminal Parking: Early Bird Online and Weekend Rates

You must select Terminal 1 or 2 when making your online booking. When arriving at the airport, please head for the following entrances as appropriate:
Terminal 1:       P2 or P3

From the A3 or A5 motorway or B43 highway, follow the signs to Terminal 1 and then drive into the terminal parking structure via entrance P2 or P3.
Google Maps - Terminal 1

Terminal 2:      P8 and P9
From the A3 or A5 motorway or B43 highway, follow the signs to Terminal 2 and then drive into the underground parking garage via entrance P8 or P9.

Online Business Parking
Terminal 1:      P4

From the A3 or A5 motorway or B43 highway, follow the signs to Terminal 1 and Business Parking. Use entrance P4 to drive down to the underground level. The parking bay is indicated on your booking confirmation. Please note that the QR code is only valid for that parking bay. If you require a suitable parking space for persons with disabilities or reduced mobility, it is enough to book it at our Early Bird Online or Weekend Rate.

Holiday Parking
If you have booked our Holiday Parking online, when arriving at the airport follow the signs to “Holiday Parking”.
From the A3 or A5 motorway, follow the signs for “Flughafen Frankfurt” (also indicated by an aircraft icon) to Highway B43. Exit at “Cargo Center/Tor 21 bis 31”. At the noise barrier, turn right onto Airportring and then follow the signs to “Tor 31”. The car park is located after the underpass on the right.

Online bookings are only valid for the booked time period, section or car park, and category. You may not use any of the other parking areas (e.g. the drop-off zones, short-term parking areas at the terminals and the bus parking (P36)).

 

What should I do when I get to the airport?
Terminal Parking – Early Bird Online and Weekend Rates

Drive into the parking structure, hold your QR code against the scanner on the barrier of a parking bay with a green traffic light, drive in and park on any free space. It’s a good idea to take a picture of the parking space number or write it down so you won’t forget it. As soon as you drive in using your QR code, we also automatically send you a car finder email indicating the parking level and parking bay number.

Business Parking
Use entrance P4 to drive down to the underground level and continue to the parking bay listed in your booking confirmation email. Hold your QR code against the scanner on the barrier, drive in and park on any free space. It’s a good idea to take a picture of the parking space number or write it down so you won’t forget it. As soon as you drive in using your QR code, we also automatically send you a car finder email indicating the parking level and parking bay number.

Holiday Parking
Scan the QR code at the entry column of the car park gate. You can enter also at red light, as your parking space is reserved for you on the day of arrival. Park on a free parking space. Please note your parking zone, we recommend to take a photo or make a note.
Our free shuttle buses connect the car park with both terminals around the clock. The bus stop is near the entrance.
Calculating When to Arrive

Please take into account that you should be at the check-in counter at least two or three hours (depending on the destination) before your flight leaves. You also need to ensure enough time to park your vehicle and ride the bus to the terminal (count on about 30 minutes for this). Because there are very few nighttime flights, the shuttle buses only operate between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. when requested. This can result in a longer wait.

To request a shuttle bus, press the call button at any stop along its route.

What do I have to do when returning from my trip?

I’ve left my car parked for longer than I booked – what should I do?

Terminal Parking: Early Bird Online and Weekend Rates, Online Business Parking

After returning from your trip as planned, get your car and drive to the exit. Then hold your QR code against the scanner and simply drive out.
Along with your mobile parking ticket and QR code, you also receive an informational graphic and a link to an informational video that explains everything in detail.
To retrieve your vehicle later than the end of the booked time period, please first go to one of the pay machines in the access areas of our parking facilities.
1.    Hold the QR code against the scanner.
2.    Pay the additional amount shown in the display.
3.    Your QR code is validated so you can drive out with your vehicle.

Holiday Parking
After returning from your trip, you can ride the shuttle bus back to the car park. Board it at the same stop where you had exited the bus when departing. At Terminal 1, it is located on car park P29; there are signs to it inside the terminal building. The bus stop at Terminal 2 is right at exit number 6. When you arrive back at the car park, proceed to your vehicle and drive straight to the exit. Scan the QR code at the exit column of the car park gate. If you have overstayed the booked time period, please first go to one of the pay machines in the entrance/exit area.

2.    Pay the additional amount shown in the display (10.00 € per day)..
3.    Your QR code is validated so you can drive out with your vehicle.

What do I do if I don’t have my QR code with me?
If you notice the loss of your QR code three or more days before the start of the booked parking period, send an email to parken.online@fraport.de or call us at +49 69 690-79455. We will then send your QR code to you again.
If you don’t notice the loss until just before leaving on your trip, when arriving at the airport parking facility please press the call button on the entrance barrier and explain the situation to the on-duty personnel.

Terminal Parking (Early Bird Online and Weekend Rates), Online Business Parking
On your return drive to the central exit and contact our colleagues from the park-service by pressing the call button at the exit gate. If you give them your booking number, they can assist you at any time around the clock. This process also applies if you have forgotten your QR code at your holiday residence.

What do I do if I took a normal parking ticket from the machine when driving in instead of using my QR code?
When returning, go to the pay machine with your parking ticket and QR code.
1.       First insert the parking ticket into the machine. The normal price will appear in the display.
2.       Then hold your QR code against the scanner. The display price will be reduced to €0.00,
provided that you have not exceeded the booked parking period. The machine retains the parking ticket. You then drive out with your QR code.
3.       If you have parked longer than the booked time period, the machine will indicate the additional charge that you must pay.
If you have any problems, you can contact our colleagues from the park-service (without paying the parking ticket in advance!) by pressing the call button at the exit gate. If you give them your booking number, they can assist you at any time around the clock.

What do I do if there are problems driving in or out?
If your QR code doesn’t work when driving in or out, or if there are any other problems or malfunctions, please press the call button on one of the vehicle entrances or exits or a pay machine. Our staff will be happy to help you at any time of the day or night.

Is there special parking for travel agents?
Travel agents can get detailed information from our “FRA ExpertNet”, an exclusive online tool for travel agencies.
DRV members can request a voucher code from the DRV.
To use the online tool, click on the link www.anmeldung-expertnet.frankfurt-airport.com and enter your INFOX access data. Please note that when using this service, you cannot claim any additional discounts in the form of voucher codes.
