Dear travelers,
the chapel in Terminal 1, Departure B is open again during our office opening hours. As of October, church services will also be held again.
Please stay healthy.
Warmest regards
Your Pastoral Care Team
The Protestant airport chaplaincy belongs to the Lutheran Church of Hessen and Nassau. Its door is open to everyone: travelers, employees and visitors.
Please turn to the chaplaincy if you
- would like to speak confidentially with someone or require assistance,
- are experiencing a crisis and need someone to listen to you and give you support,
- would like to take advantage of a church service or rite (baptism, communion, wedding, blessing, funeral or memorial service), or
- simply need a word of hope and encouragement.
The airport is a large, colorful and hectic place. Unexpected things and mishaps occur here. Employees suffer from stress and tension. Joy and sadness are often conmingled. According to Psalm 23 “The Lord is my Shepherd”, God restores our soul. And we need restoration and refreshment at work and in our everyday lives in order to get closer to ourselves and God. Our three chapels here are islands of peace in a sea of tumult. They let you get back in touch with yourself and recharge your spiritual batteries.
