Sightseeing Tours

Experience historic and modern Frankfurt

Go on a sightseeing tour and see where German emperors used to be crowned and the modern banking district.

The tour starts at the city’s historic center with the magnificent historic City Hall, which is known as the Römer, lovely half-timbered houses, Frankfurt Cathedral, and St. Paul’s Church. Then you proceed to the Goethe House and Old Sachsenhausen. You also get to admire the Old Opera, the Museumsufer (a group of around 15 museums on the south bank of the Main River), and the banking district with its skyscrapers. The tour finishes up on the observation deck of the Main Tower. At a height of 200 meters, it affords a fantastic view of the city.

Themed tours on weekends are also a great way to witness shipping on the Main River. Or you can create your own personal tour thanks to “hop on, hop off” buses. For a very special experience, ride the Ebbelwei Express and sample the locally popular apple wine while taking in the city’s sights.
