Dream Islands - From Frankfurt to Paradise

Dream Islands - From Frankfurt to Paradise

Aloha - hello and greetings!

On September 4, Frankfurt Airport was transformed into an island paradise.

The bands Riddim Posse, Maki, and Kelemania Duo played hot rhythms that evoked an enchanting South Seas feeling, and an ensemble of 12 exotic dancers put on a breathtaking show. Teachers from the Monika Bauer school of dance showed visitors the steps for salsa and bachata so they could also swing their hips to the music.

On the recently reopened Visitors’ Terrace, guests were able to enjoy a cocktail while watching the action out on the airfield.

An auction of abandoned luggage and other items by Clesle on behalf of Lufthansa also drew a huge crowd.

As a take-home souvenir, visitors also had the chance to have their bodies painted with artful tribal and exotic motifs. And Alicia of Cuba fascinated everyone by skillfully hand-rolling cigars.

The absolute highlight was, once again, the big airport rally, in which participants could win flights and other prizes worth a total of 20,000 euros.

The younger guests were entertained with arts & crafts, face painting, and balloon twisting.
