Promptly at the beginning of the year, UTi Deutschland GmbH moved into its new European hub at CargoCity South. UTi is one of the world’s leading airfreight forwarders and will contribute to the further growth of Frankfurt Airport as a logistics center.

The new building is the first one on CargoCity South’s expansion area. The cutting-edge logistics property has a cargo handling facility comprising some 7,000 square meters with seven loading docks for trucks and a ramp for direct delivery. The three-story office wing attached to it boasts an additional 3,000 square meters of space.

One of the special features of the facility are the sustainable techniques used to construct it. The latest energy standards were applied during the development. Among other notable aspects, the use of LED lighting in the cargo handling facilities and outside areas, as well as a high standard for the actual structure and materials of the building envelope, ensure an extremely high degree of energy efficiency.
