Christmas Spirit at Frankfurt Airport
Dec 6, 2011
Choirs, Santas and Gingerbread for Christmas
Within the scope of Frankfurt Airport’s Great to have you here service initiative, passengers and guests can once again expect a special Christmas treat: on three different days in December, choirs will evoke a yuletide ambiance by performing carols at the airport. The kickoff will be on December 2 in the Transit B section of Terminal 1, where the Angels on Air will perform at 10 a.m., 12 noon, and 3 p.m. Christmas spirit will also be forthcoming in the public part of the airport: the Youth Choir of the Lutheran St. Michael’s Congregation in Reichelsheim will perform on the stage of the Food Plaza in Terminal 2 on December 15 at 5:30 p.m., and on December 17 at 4 p.m. the Chorwurm choir from Schaafheim will delight guests and passengers at the same venue.
In addition to Christmas music, eight Santas will distribute traditional German lebkuchen (gingerbread) cookies to passengers all over the airport on the four Sundays before Christmas in cooperation with FBA and KMA. Between November 27 and December 26, lebkuchen will also be handed out to passengers at the baggage claims in Terminal 1. Further information is provided for you here.
