Dangerous Goods

To avoid risks in aviation, it is forbidden to carry objects or substances on board an aircraft that have been classified as dangerous. If a dangerous item is detected in carry-on luggage by the scanner during the security check, it will be removed and, if its estimated value is 50 euros or more, stored for up to four weeks. The passenger receives a document confirming that his or her bag has been opened and an item seized. Passengers can retrieve stored items after returning to Frankfurt Airport: from the customs warehouse or the lost & found office, depending on which part of the airport they departed from.
