You can check bulky luggage at your airline's regular check-in counter.
The following list gives examples of bulky items:
- Bags measuring larger than 0.85 m high, 0.65 m wide, and 0.45 m deep
- Backpacks with straps
- Baby carriages (prams)
- Child seats
- Diving equipment and backpacks
- Live animals in suitable transport containers
Please inquire when booking your flight whether your bulky luggage is subject to any special conditions. Like all checked luggage, these items also undergo security inspections in the airport’s luggage cellar.
The Best Way to Protect Bulky Items When Traveling: Transport Boxes
The Airport Luggage Service will be happy to help you. Transport boxes for animals and bicycles are usually in stock and can be picked up between one and two hours before your departure.
