Cost-Based Fees According to the Ordinance on Ground Handling Services (BADV)
Fraport AG charges cost-based fees for use of the general infrastructure of Frankfurt Airport, which includes public and service roads, designated vehicle routes on the apron and airfield, facilities for checking passengers and goods ("critical parts"), gates to high-security areas and shuttle buses.
At the moment the cost-based fees are as indicated below for the following ground handling services:
3.0% of net sales for passenger handling (sector 2 acc. to the BADV)
4.8% of net sales for apron services (sectors 5.1 – 5.6 acc. to the BADV)
3.1% of net sales for aircraft services (sector 6 acc. to the BADV)
3.5% of net sales for aircraft maintenance (sector 8 acc. to the BADV 8)
4.1% of net sales for landside and special transport services (sector 10 acc. to the BADV)
1.8% of net sales for aircraft catering (sectors 5.7 and 11 acc. to the BADV)
The minimum fee is 100 euros per month plus value-added tax.
Sales Levy According to the Airport User Regulations (FBO)
For competition-related reasons, the sales levy is the same within each sector but varies from sector to sector. The rates for the most frequently conducted activities are as follows:
2.5% of net sales for transport services
2.5% of net sales for cleaning services (buildings and open areas)
2.5% of net sales for warehousing and storage services
5.0% of net sales for installation and maintenance services
5.0% of net sales for providing temporary staff
5.5% of net sales for security services
The minimum fee is 100 euros per month plus value-added tax.
