Fraport AG and airline representatives have agreed on the development of airport charges at Frankfurt Airport until 2015 and signed a corresponding agreement. The result of the reached agreement provides planning security for both sides and spreads the charges increase over coming years.

The agreement provides that charges will be raised by three percent on April 1, 2011, and on October 1, 2011 by 2,5 percent. During the years 2012 to 2015 charges will rise by an average 2.9 percent annually.

A further result of the negotiations: If passenger figures at Frankfurt Airport develop faster than expected, the airlines will be reimbursed one third of the additional revenue.

As of January 1, 2010, there is a separate schedule for charges for the central ground handling infrastructure facilities. Because of the review of the charge model of central ground handling infrastructure with the purpose to increase the Pax-variable part of the charge, a new charge list is effective since October 1, 2010.
