Operation Center Frankfurt
The Operation Center Frankfurt is being built in the service area of Fraport AG where it will be protected by controlled access. Due to this building’s exposed location between the apron and public areas, it will have the special attraction of being right in the middle of activities at the airport. The Operation Center Frankfurt will benefit from close proximity to both terminals and all important infrastructure and facilities such as the ICE train station, shopping areas, food and beverage outlets, conference facilities and much more.
The underground level, ground floor and first three upper stories of the OCF integrate the functions that are directly related to apron activities, such as changing and break rooms, offices and control facilities. Levels 4 to 9 contain offices accessible from the utility zones. Between 40 and 50 workplaces are being implemented on each level in compliance with the applicable regulations. The underground level contains changing facilities for about 950 persons as well as equipment rooms. The building’s parts are accessed via two separate safety stairwells: one in front for the cellar, ground floor and levels 1-3, and another for the upper levels.
The focus is on ensuring the flexibility and efficiency of the offices and optimally meeting the organizational needs of tenants. Offices are being created to provide a quite environment that is conducive to concentrated work, as well as common areas for holding meetings. A transparent design will ensure visual contact and communication between workers.
